I am a psychotherapist with postgraduate training in Internal Family Systems (Level 2), adult psychodynamic psychotherapy at The Training Institute for Mental Health and in child and adolescent relational psychotherapy at The National Institute for the Psychotherapies. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a graduate degree from Hunter College.
My approach to therapy is guided by the firm belief that all people have an innate capacity to heal and that as a therapist my job is to help you connect to that capacity. I see productive and rewarding work as emanating from a dynamic collaboration between myself and my clients, and I’m committed to bringing my full attention, curiosity and compassion to each client’s needs. While my partnership with each individual is unique, my goal is to help every client live a life that is more fulfilling.
I have experience in working with people across the age spectrum with issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, loss and grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, stress management, sexuality and gender, professional and academic/learning challenges and trauma.
Prior to working in mental health, I facilitated countless groups for teens and young adults at Center for Family Life (BK), assisting people in identifying and honing their strengths, developing professional and interpersonal skills and and effectively addressing conflict.
In my practice, I treat adults and couples. I would be happy to provide consultation to discuss my approach and how psychotherapy might work for you. I am licensed to treat clients in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Colorado.
